How to prepare for a pest control visit

Before a pest control visit, take clear photos of activity, droppings, nests or damage. Note when you see the pest and where it moves. That information can save time and improve the treatment plan.

Clear access to skirtings, cupboards, roof hatches, sub-floor entries, garages, sheds and bin areas where relevant. Do not deep-clean after treatment unless the technician tells you to, because cleaning can remove residual product.

Plan for pets, fish tanks and children before the appointment. Some treatments require temporary vacancy or dry time, and the technician should explain that before starting.
